The BVR Reptile Room began as a lifelong dream rooted in a deep love for animals — especially reptiles and exotic species. What started as a childhood passion has grown into over 20 years of hands-on experience, education, and a commitment to responsible care. We are more than a pet store. We are an interactive, rainforest-themed space built around education, ethical care, and connection — a place where people feel welcome to ask questions, learn proper care, and appreciate species that are often misunderstood.

Tyler has been keeping reptiles his entire life, developing a deep respect and understanding for these animals and many years of hands-on experience caring for and interacting with many species. He is passionate about proper husbandry, ethical ownership, and teaching people how to interact with animals in a way that prioritizes safety and respect for both the animal and the keeper.

Education is at the core of everything he does. He believes accurate information and hands-on learning are essential to changing perspectives and improving standards of care within the reptile community. He takes pride in building trust with an animal, respectful handling, and proper education. His goal is to help others feel confident, informed, and connected to the animals they care for.

Jasmyn

Jasmyn has loved all animals alike for as long as she can remember, with a lifelong passion that grew into years of hands-on experience keeping and caring for reptiles. Her dedication goes beyond ownership — she is committed to animal welfare and to making sure every animal, big or small, gets the chance to thrive through proper care, enrichment, and understanding.

A core part of her passion is education, especially helping people who are fearful or unsure about animals, through patience, knowledge, and positive experiences. She loves breaking down misconceptions, fostering empathy, and guiding people toward confidence and appreciation instead of fear. Through education and compassion, she works to build stronger connections between people, animals, and the environment they share.
