Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of bvrreptileroom.com (the "Site"), operated by The BVR Reptile Room, 6819 Lonetree Blvd, Suite 103, Rocklin, California 95765. By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What the Site is for
The Site tells you about our store, our animals, our services, and how to reach us. We do not sell anything through the Site. There is no online checkout, no online ordering, and no prices are published here. All sales of animals, feeders, supplies, and services happen in person at the store and are subject to the laws of California and the policies posted in the store, including our return policy displayed at the register as required by the California Pet Store Animal Care Act (Health and Safety Code § 122355).
2. Animal information is general, not veterinary advice
Anything on the Site about animal care, husbandry, feeding, handling, or health is general information based on our experience. It is not veterinary advice and is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian who has examined your animal. Our free in-store health inspection is a visual check by experienced keepers, not a veterinary examination or diagnosis.
3. Live animals and California law
Some species shown on the Site are kept and displayed at our place of business under the exemptions that apply to licensed commercial establishments. Not every animal you see is offered for sale, and some species may not be sold, kept, or transported in California without permits (Fish and Game Code and California Code of Regulations, Title 14, § 671) or are restricted by federal law (for example, turtles under four inches, 21 C.F.R. § 1240.62). Ask us in the store before assuming an animal is available.
4. Your use of the Site
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to interfere with the Site, attempt to access parts of it that are not public, scrape it, or use it to send us anything unlawful, abusive, or false.
5. Photos, video, and other content
The photographs and video of Tyler, Jasmyn, our staff, and our animals belong to The BVR Reptile Room. The logo and the name "The BVR Reptile Room" are ours. You may not copy, republish, or use them commercially without written permission. Some environmental scenes on the home page are rendered, as noted in the footer. Third-party material is credited where it appears and is used under its license.
6. Links to other sites
The Site links to Instagram, TikTok, and Google Maps. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
7. No warranties; limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is." We try to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we may change it at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, The BVR Reptile Room and its owners and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
8. Privacy and accessibility
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects (very little) and how we handle it. Our Accessibility & ADA Statement explains our commitments and how to reach us if something is not working for you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about the Site will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Placer County, California, unless the law gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the new terms.
